Message	is just because the technology is 15 years newer. It is clear, however, that Nissan in no way tried to make the 350z a better car than the 300zxtt. For very little $ the 300zx can be sitting at a handsome 400hp..... I would take turbos over a naturally aspirated aluminum block any day. Of course turbos require more maintainance and up-keep, but that is ok to most z32 owners because we actually care for and love our cars.
